    I’d say I probably agree with maybe 60% of what Chris writes about. That’s not to say that he’s wrong - he just looks at things from an energy resources point of view and the frightening implications of a shortfall.

    I’m a bigger believer in the power of technology, capital and policy (strike that, I’m not a big believer in governments to get energy policy right) to develop solutions. And that we won’t necessarily know in advance that solutions are being developed. (After all, before Colonel Drake first drilled for petroleum, there were folks convinced we were running out of whale oil for illumination, and the world would plunge back into darkness.)

    My blog won’t cover much of the same territory as Chris’ as I couldn’t possibly write as knowledgeably about oil as he can.
